Quick answer

CueFrame is an iPhone teleprompter for solo creators. You paste or write a script, record yourself reading it, and optionally let voice scroll keep the text synced to what you are saying.

Basics.

What does CueFrame do?

CueFrame helps you create and organize scripts, read them from your iPhone screen, and record video at the same time. It is built for solo creators who want to maintain eye contact with the camera while staying on script.

Who is it for?

Vloggers, YouTubers, short-form creators, educators, founders, coaches, and anyone who records scripted video alone.

Voice scroll.

How does voice-driven scrolling work?

CueFrame listens to your speech, matches recognized words to your script, and scrolls toward the matching word position on screen. If you pause, it waits. If you go off-script, it generally waits until you return to the script.

Does voice scroll require Siri or Dictation?

Yes. Apple's speech recognition depends on iOS speech services. If Siri or Dictation is disabled, voice scroll may not work until you enable it in iOS Settings.

Can I manually adjust while voice scroll is active?

Yes. Manual assist lets you nudge the script forward or backward when the automatic scroll is slightly ahead or behind your delivery. CueFrame uses the manual position as the new place to resume voice tracking.

Recording.

Does CueFrame record video?

Yes. CueFrame records from your iPhone camera while the script stays on screen as a reading overlay. The text is not burned into the saved video.

Can I record in 4K?

On supported iPhones and camera formats, CueFrame can offer 4K recording. 1080p remains a good default for smaller files and faster processing.

Where do saved videos go?

Finished recordings are saved to your Photos library when export succeeds.

Backgrounds.

Can I use a background image?

Yes. CueFrame can use an image from your photo library as the recording backdrop. Background replacement runs on your iPhone during export.

Do I need a green screen?

No. CueFrame uses Apple's foreground instance masking to separate you from the room behind you, so the feature does not require a green screen. A simple, well-lit setup still helps the result look cleaner.

Can I use a background video?

Not in the current shipped feature set. CueFrame supports photo background replacement, not video backdrops.

Processing.

Why does processing take time?

Filters, 4K exports, and photo background replacement require video processing after recording. Longer videos take longer.

Can I leave the app while it processes?

For best results, keep CueFrame open. iOS only gives apps limited background time, so long exports may be interrupted if you switch apps, lock the phone for too long, or force-close CueFrame.

Can I cancel processing?

Yes. If an export is still processing, CueFrame shows a processing status indicator and offers a cancel action before the video is saved to Photos.

Privacy.

Do my scripts or videos upload to CueFrame servers?

CueFrame is designed around local scripts, local recording, and local video processing. We do not operate a cloud account where your scripts and videos are stored.

What permissions does CueFrame need?

Camera, microphone, speech recognition, and Photos add access are used for recording, voice scroll, and saving videos.

Billing.

Will CueFrame have paid features?

Pricing and subscription details are not final yet. If paid features are added, purchases will be handled through Apple's App Store flow.

How do refunds work?

Apple handles App Store refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Compatibility.

What devices are supported?

CueFrame is built for iPhone in portrait creator workflows. Specific iOS version and App Store compatibility details should match the live app listing when published.
